The first impressions of the strange crossover weblog Namco Bandai To celebrate three decades of Galaga, Namco Bandai has seen fit to create a bizarre crossover between the shooter and his classic title. The result is Pac-Man & Galaga Dimensions Nintendo 3DS, a title that will be released later this year and that in practice will contain two distinct and separate games: Galaga 3D Impact, a three-dimensional first-person shooter, and Tilt Pac-Man, a two-dimensional platform.
While the latter does not enjoy even the possibility to activate the 3D effect, the FPS dedicated to Galaga instead uses the three dimensions in a big way ... even if the end result would seem to be the best, according to Destructoid. But first things first. In Pac-Man Pac-Man Tilt your appointments in its anthropomorphic, in a platform-style classic nature but to take advantage of the accelerometer of the console.
In order to reach certain platforms, in fact, we need to tilt the 3DS to gain speed to the character. Enter the 3D effect in this context would not have made much sense, actually. On the other hand, we have Galaga Dimensions, said as a first person shooter in some ways similar to the classic Star Wars arcade game, with hordes of alien insects who approach us and we have to shoot against laser beams and missiles.
Again the game utilizes the accelerometer, so for example we move to look around. The problem is that the 3D effect seems to give much trouble, and therefore should be disabled in order to play without eye strain. Source: Destructoid
