Oscar coming Apparently, someone thought that hitting a bunch of pixelated aliens advancing neatly from top to bottom gradually increasing speed to be a good subject for a feature film. Producers Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Gigi Pritzker of Odd Lot Entertainment have decided to purchase the rights for a film based on the official Space Invaders, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter, and are currently seeking a writer for the screenplay.
Di Bonaventura is also the producer of Transformers and GI Joe and apparently would also working on a film based on Asteroids, another subject not exactly easy to turn into interesting films.
