The free browser game-to-play Star Trek: Infinite Space will be available in Q3 of 2011, tells Gameforge. In development at the headquarters of German Gameforge, the browser game is done in collaboration with CBS and is set in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Among the features of the game include customizable avatars, two factions (Federation and Klingon), hundreds of missions and a story that will vary depending on the selected faction.
For the development of Star Trek: Infinite Space, Gameforge has made use of expert consultants such as Michael and Denise Okuda and writer Lee Sheldon, writer of Star Trek: The Next Generation.
