The developer of the first Carmageddon, Stainless Games, has announced the development of a downloadable game called Carmageddon: Reincarnation. Stainless Games is back in possession of the IP and is currently seeking a partner for the release of the game, expected in 2012. "Carmageddon returned to his indie roots, this is the right time to bring the series to new audiences," said co-founder of Stainless, Patrick Buckland.
"Originally it was a title that put in the difficult period but the new hardware platforms provide a showcase that can do justice to the characteristics of Reincarnation." Yet to be confirmed target platforms; Stainless mentioned only Xbox Live Arcade in its press release.
