Sony has announced that from May 31 evening the PSN will undergo a period of maintenance that will last approximately 24 hours. The service should return to active the night of June 1, as announced by a member of the Sony forum on European Community Team. During maintenance you can not make a series of transactions, including: In case you are connected when the PSN will go offline, you'll still connected but you can not use these services.
