After the disastrous launch of Online Final Fantasy XIV and a series of decidedly mixed reviews about Final Fantasy XIII (in fact the chapter on "regular" in the saga that received the most lukewarm reception since Final Fantasy VII Final Fantasy has cleared through customs in the West) we wondered what would be the next step of SquareEnix for the historic series of Japanese role-playing games.
A first answer might be hidden in the new mark on the saga that SquareEnix Final Fantasy Type-0 (zero), complete with logo lodged with the European trademark office. We can not know of may at the time, but the registration of title and logo in less than a month after a major event like the conference to be held in Tokyo entitled "Square Enix 1st Premiere Production Department" suggests all effects of a new chapter in the series.
Possibly the suffix "0" could suggest a sort of "reboot"? In less than a month, exactly 18 January 2011, the secret could be revealed.
