The damage of piracy in the UK

In 2010 UKIE detects losses of 1.45 billion pounds The UK interactive entertainment talk of damage to almost a billion pounds emmezzo and 1000 jobs lost because of piracy. Or at least that's what gives the UKIE Association, whose director general Michael Rawlinson, said that the money spent on pirated titles and to change the console goes to criminals and young creatives working in the entertainment market .

Rawlinson also said that the games not too costra and longevity ranging from 20 to 50 hours has a very high value. In addition are the costs to deliver a game high end are very high now and then justify the prices. We obviously agree piracy damaging to the market. But the words of the director of UKIE not show a particular understanding of the current situation.

If Rawlinson's speech may in fact apply to the modified consoles, that is certainly not for the pirated DVDs that are increasingly rare. Piracy now travels on the internet and the money used for connections to download illegally goes to phone companies who are often criminals, but in general.

In addition to young developers funded for their qualities do not see so many figures and the act of excessive spending on advertising does not guarantee certain licenses for high-end higher quality. Finally, we wish to point out that not all titles last between 20 and 50 hours and that the veiled comparison between a movie and a video game is absolutely out of place, at least for now.

The fight against piracy is sacrosanct, but it certainly does not pass the justification total industry at the expense of honest buyers. Players who are often keen to pay both the damage of piracy and excessive advertising. Source: BBC
