Some members of the deceased Bizarre Creations have founded a new study, Lucid Games. Pete Wallace, former senior manager at Bizarre and CEO of Lucid said: "We have behind us the great story of Bizarre and we are proud to be part of Lucid. We will build a studio capable of communicating with trading partners, with consumers and developers.
" Wallace also confirms that the company has already started discussions with several publishers about potential projects, and that the study is currently recruiting staff. In the three months since the first attempt to sell part of the British study Activision until the definitive closure of Bizarre, several former employees of the developer of Project Gotham Racing has found a new place.
"People knew that there would be cuts," says Wallace. "But we did not expect the closure of the study. The majority of staff did not want to move from this area although many have had the opportunity to go to China or Canada." The commercial director of Lucid, Andy Davidson, said: "We know that some have been contacted by recruiters, they are invited in particular to move to Canada.
We want to return to levels that made Bizarre so appetizing to arouse the interest of Activision ".
