Deleted the new project development team Slightly Mad Studios, responsible for the series Need for Speed: Shift, apparently is in a waiting phase after the completion of work on Shift 2: Unleashed. The new project where the team was already working and the production was to be inserted immediately after the racing game in question was in fact removed, which also involves the risk of possible redundancy for the staff members.
"We were abandoned at the last minute by a publisher who had signed an agreement for this project, but canceling it before the commencement of work," said team boss Ian Bell, without specific names. The issue represents a risk to the team although Bell claims to be optimistic for the future.
