According to rumors reported by the British magazine PlayGamer, there would be a Heavenly Sword 2 in the works that should be presented at E3. According to leaked details, the game is set 10 years after the first chapter and is a world characterized by open-ended sandbox-style, with a more interactive scenario and the need to learn and improve in various martial arts techniques before access to the legendary sword covered by the title.
There has never been confirmed a sequel for Heavenly Sword, only some ideas mentioned by Tameem Antoniades of Ninja Theory had thought of a chapter in which Nariko and Kai hell was over, controlled by the player, should act to save the his soul. It was still just an idea expressed by Antoniades.
However, Ninja Theory is currently committed to "reboot" Devil May Cry so we do not know exactly who would be entrusted with this hypothetical Heavenly Sword 2 of which we hear about at E3. Source: The Silent Chief
