Crytek has strongly denied rumors that would have to work on the Xbox 360 new release. Last week, an alleged source "very credible" was revealed to the press that the developer was already working on a next-gen title, Timesplitters 4, so that Microsoft could announce it at E3 2012. However, now Crytek has released a press release to IGN, which denies being aware of a new console from Microsoft.
The statement said: "Regarding the recent rumors, Crytek is not in possession of any next-generation hardware, and do not know if and when Microsoft will announce a new console or any of its specifications."
"Crytek is working to push the limits of what current technology can do, this includes our work on DX11, that will be released shortly in an update for Crysis 2."
