No PS4 on the horizon

According to the words of U.S. PlayStation boss Jack Tretton, the successor to the PlayStation 3 is still very far on the horizon. According to Tretton , the company is focusing on the future of the PlayStation 3 and the arrival of PSVita, and thinks that the current technology is still in good shape.

"The PlayStation 3 has just started to show his true potential," says Tretton. "I do not think, in terms of technology, is not currently possible to provide a real progress compared to what we already have." "From what we saw, when competitors are trying to add functions that are already present in the PlayStation 3."

Although Microsoft is probably planning a new hardware for the 2012/13 and Nintendo is preparing to launch the U Wii next year, Tretton does not seem impressed by what we saw at E3.
