The publishing company protects its trademark for non-comics. As noted by Siliconera, the publisher Marvel Secret Wars has registered the trademark in the U.S. in relation to type of videogame entertainment products (hardware and software, as is normal). Like the comics fans well remember, this is the mini-series "crossover" of 1984 which, among other things, gave the famous black suit "symbiotic" Spider-Man's alien origin.
As a result, the strong success with readers, Marvel gave birth to two other "secret wars", the last being used as a background narrative for the video game Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 ("The Covenant Grade 2" in Italy), published Activision last year on the label. If ever we were assisting in the preparations of a hypothetical Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, this is in fact a prequel to the second chapter and not a continuation of itself.
