December good for MS in the U.S.

According to data released by NPD Group, in December of 2010, Microsoft has scored the most positive month for the Xbox 360 in the United States. Nintendo DS was the best selling console of the month in North America, but Xbox 360 is the only one to grow year over year and closed the month that includes the festitivà season with 1.9 million consoles sold.

Overall, the U.S. market showed a decline compared to 2009, are in fact hardware sales fell by 6%, according to NPD. Call of Duty: Black Ops is the best selling game of the month before Just Dance 2 and World of Warcraft: Cataclysm (since it does not include sales of WOW expansion in digital format).

This top ten software in December: After debuting in eighth place last month, Gran Turismo 5 has disappeared from the U.S. software charts. Considering the sales of single platform, however, Just Dance 2 was the best selling game ever. This, finally, the ranking of the best-selling games in North America in 2010:
