"Downpour" The new issue of Game Informer has brought new information on the eighth chapter of Silent Hill is currently in development at Konami for Vatra. The title apparently is Silent Hill: Downpour and will be set in the south-east of the famous town in question, as well as in neighboring locations.
Apparently, the game world is fairly large, so as to bring the player to make use of a metro-type transport system to move from side to side. The combat system seems to be set slightly differently, in some ways more challenging, with the introduction of a weapon at a time can bring and the possibility that this is worn down to break.
There will be no historical locations such as schools and hospitals, it seems, replaced by a more dynamic sub-quests that are spread over an area of larger game. The water will be a constant and fundamental element to the game, similar to what characterizes the snow Shattered Memories.
