As reported by ThisisXbox, an anonymous source had suggested that the next game by Infinity Ward could be the prequel of Modern Warfare. According to reports, the game tells the story that led Ghost part of Task Force 141. Different settings appeared in the first two Modern Warfare will return in the next chapter, but will be seen from a different perspective.
Infinity Ward should once again be based sull'engine Modern Warfare 2 for the rumor, which however does not specify when the new Modern Warfare will hit stores. According to several analysts, 2011 will be published in the Call of Duty Activision Sledgehammer but did not yet know nothing official about it.
The publisher is currently engaged in a bitter legal battle with former manager at Infinity Ward, West and Zampella, and with rival Electronic Arts, Activision second guilty of having interfered in the relationship between the company and Infinity Ward to damage the study who developed Modern Warfare and Call of Duty franchise.
