No portable console has sold as much to launch Nintendo of America issued a statement stating that the sales launch day in 3DS exceeded those of any other handheld console of the big N. In fact, this means that Nintendo 3DS is the best selling console ever in the so-called day one, as the previous record was always Nintendo.
