Italy was one of the most affected countries in the ugly affair PSN, which I expect to find, hopefully, a solution for this first week. Through his Twitter account, the former editor of 1UP, Mark McDonald, has published some numbers relating to accounts stolen by hackers, by country. Are unwelcome on this podium in the first place the United States, with 31,104,307 accounts.
Second Great Britain (9296317) and Japan third (7,427,038). Following is France (4701424), Canada (3,524,227), Germany (3233800) and Spain (2982592). Even Italy is unfortunately in the Top Ten and just behind Australia, in ninth place with as many as 1,473,187 in the account data would be held by hackers.
Of course it is right to specify the numbers in question are by no means official, and that Sony has not confirmed these data in any way or comment.
