Today's review focuses on a title dedicated solely to the PC, this is the saga Magicka proposing the new chapter called Vietnam. Starting from the title you can easily understand the plot and the atmosphere of the game, in fact Magicka Vietnam is a shooter game focusing on the Vietnam War, but in view of key games, adding to a base of realism, the use of firearms and magic weapons which involve the player during the battles.
The title has some strengths but also significant flaws, so do not expect a perfect game but for those who mixed the pure shooter to a department gesionale along the main gameplay of the game. Points to Magicka for Vietnam are different, starting from the atmosphere definitely funny that the developers have wanted to give this game more interesting aspect is the variety of firearms used, the field really complete, compared to other games in the genre that concendono paraphernalia very limited, losing the spirit that drives the player to customize its action to war with weapons of different types and effectiveness in different circumstances and style of play.
Even at a first glance it is immediately made aware of the type of game that we face, that is a hybrid of games made of cardboard characters and a semi-shooter of the past, all with a good graphics engine which makes the experience in enthralling battle, with no delays or other kinds of graphics issues, obviously within the limits of gaming and PC performance.
Passing notes in pain, unfortunately this game is really short-lived, the mode called Rescue Vietnam, will lead us directly to the battlefield with missions to accomplish and goals to achieve to enter the next phase of the battle, all this is after several hours of game pretty repetitive, but nevertheless always very addictive gameplay with well-researched that make the battle difficult to resolve immediately.
Few news for a title change that setting but remains always the same Magicka, in addition to the adventure mode, we will have other opportunities to play as a survival mode, which moves us to take actions similar to those already seen in other proposals, having to eliminate multiple opponents possible in the timeframe established.
The experiment Arrowhead house, however, is totally successful, strong involvement by giving a title for players who are not really fans of the series and genre, replacing conventional weapons such as swords and bows, that characterized the previous titles, with arms fire that gives the title an edge over all seasoned with the magic that does not hurt giving bonuses in times of trouble during the battle.
Magicka Vietnam is an exclusive PC at the moment only available in English but can not be excluded in an Italian production, the sale price is about € 4.99 on the dedicated online store, and excellent value for money, too bad only for the duration rather limited. In conclusion, this title shall comply with the conditions and continues the tradition of a series that has kept us glued to screens for days, the choice of the optimal scenario, studied in detail, as well as the paraphernalia available, varied and versatile in various stages game, as well as the pure fun led by surreal characters capable of handling firearms with absolute mastery, passing by the sword to guns in a snap.
Too bad for the few innovations in gameplay, which are still good enough for a game and potentially versatile but not too focused on the new shooter who is the master so obvious.
