Electronic Arts has announced that Star Wars: The Old Republic beat the record for the company's bookings. "We have not yet definitive numbers, but pre-orders have exceeded our most optimistic expectations," said Frank Gibeau, EA Games. Gibeau also stated that the only title capable of beating this record is sure to be Battlefield 3.
