CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE 2 (PS3): It's war between Activision and Electronic Arts

Remember the double-action lawyer who opposed selling the two former publisher Activision and Infinity Ward's founders and creators of the Call of Duty franchise? We hope so, yes, but in case you missed the epic can start by this news, go here and again here, to name just the highlights. The last update, however, is perhaps the most striking of all, since (as you can read on Kotaku) Activision wants to also aim at rival publisher Electronic Arts, not just Jason West and Vince Zampella - which has since been working to a title on behalf of EA's new studios Respawn - asking the company to John Riccitiello compensation of $ 400 million.

The argument, as you probably noticed if you clicked on the link to Kotaku, it is far too vast to be summarized here but one thing is certain: Activision does not intend to leave no stone unturned in painting a very negative picture of West and Zampella, accusadoli explicitly that he sabotaged the development of Call of Duty: Black Ops (developer Treyarch) and that he pocketed all the money arising from the "bonus" for outstanding business results by Modern Warfare preventing the publisher to distribute them to other employees of Infinity Ward.

Activision is hoping that EA is added to the recipients of its lawsuit in January and that the process will also play in 2011. Within a few hours, is that EA's lawyers have Zampella West and returned to the sender all the charges, as was widely expected.
