Activision has officially closed at Bizarre Creations, responsible for the recent British study Blur and James Bond 007: Blood Stone. Coddy Johnson, boss of Activision Worldwide Studios, said that "the airline's first intention was to keep this team intact for development and to find some buyers." Unfortunately, no buyer "concrete" knocked on the door to buy Activision and Bizarre in what many feared the end of last year has, unfortunately, materialized in recent days.
Bizarre was founded in 1994 and became famous for Project Gotham Racing series, developed exclusively for Microsoft Game Studios, and Geometry Wars. Activision purchased the entire team in September 2007 but the weak performance of the two games released since then have allowed the publisher to further pursue this new adventure.
