THQ: "The next-gen would be a disaster"

The boss of the division Core Games, THQ, Danny Bilson, has once again reminded of the no publisher at the launch of next-generation consoles. "It would be terrible," Bilson said during an interview with Videogame Source. "Developing a game for these platforms requires a fortune. If the costs were to rise for the launch of new hardware, we would not know how to sell games under $ 100.

Who would want such a thing? It would be a disaster for everyone" . "The stability of a technology can raise standards of creative work. We must concentrate all our resources on new technology. We still have a staff member to work to leverage existing platforms, but the most important part of the work would be on creativity.

I hope that sooner or later be recognized the increased importance of style and creativity than pure technology. " "From the standpoint of creativity are satisfied with the games out there. I happen to play some titles thinking, how was it possible to create characters like these?". After Homefront, since March 11 on PC and console HD, THQ will launch in the coming months Red Faction: Armageddon, a new UFC, WWE, Dawn of War II: Retribution, Space Marine, Saints Row 3, second de Blob, insane, Devil's Third and Darksiders 2.
