Continue the war Bethesda-Interplay

The dispute between Bethesda and Interplay on the publication of a Fallout MMO has been enriched in recent weeks of a new chapter. Bethesda has in fact claimed to have granted rights to the brand exclusively for the association of the mark to a Fallout MMO. Characters and locations taken from the universe of Fallout would not therefore appear nell'MMO Interplay.

As reported by Gamasutra, though, Interplay has defined the absurd legal strategy Bethesda. "According to the interpretation of Bethesda, Interplay must develop a Fallout MMO called but devoid of any reference to the universe of Fallout. This is not only absurd, but is also prohibited by the Agreement establishes that Interplay is granted rights to the mark for its MMO ".

In 2008, Bethesda was based on the lack of progress in the development of MMO for Interplay accused of breach of the Trade Agreement signed between the two companies. Subsequently, Interplay was charged for the sale of the old Fallout without permission from Bethesda, which acquired the rights to own by Interplay in 2004.

Last October, the president of Interplay, Eric Caen announced that the MMO will be available in 2012.
