Dead Space inspire Volition

Jim Boone, producer of Red Faction: Armageddon, admitted that Dead Space is one of the shooters that have influenced the new Red Faction. "We're big fans of the game, we loved in an incredible way and no doubt we will play the second," says Boone. "In our game the aliens make a killing and the atmosphere is dark and bloody, I do not know how else we could be anything, because that is how the world would look if all this were to actually happen." Red Faction: Guerrilla Armageddon is significantly different from the previous installment of the series: linear levels, subterranean environments and the main enemy is no longer the EDF but an alien force unleashed by-case basis by the protagonist Darius Mason.

But despite the similarities with Dead Space, the game, THQ will keep intact the peculiarities GeoMod guaranteed by the engine. That potentisissime weapons and destructible environments. The sub-narrative will integrate more with the gameplay, but some features will allow you to interact with Red Faction: Battlegrounds, Nework game for PlayStation and Xbox Live Arcade that will anticipate the debut of Armageddon.

"Depending on your progress in Battlegrounds you could get extra equipment to be used in Armageddon," says Boone. "I can not tell what it is but you will find in the cabinet of the equipment Battlegrounds completing a specific weapon." THQ relies heavily on the franchise and Boone admits that Armageddon should not be the last episode of the series: "We started to discuss it among ourselves but right now it is too early to talk to the press.

No doubt we are thinking about the future, really enjoy this IP. Boone says that the pre-production of Armageddon began when Guerrilla had not been completed yet, so it is expected that Volition already have something concrete in my hands for the fifth installment of the sci-fi saga.
