During today Infinity Ward announced the imminent arrival of a patch for all versions of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the objective will be to resolve some "security issues online experience." The news came directly from the community manager of the company through the game's official forum. According to Bowling, the patch would be necessary especially after the PS3, compared to what was done by George Hotz, the safety of many products has been put at risk.
"Modern Warfare 2 has certainly been an exception but, so predictably, has led many people to run into several problems. But it seems that IW is essentially helpless in the face of such attacks rooted as those suffered recently by the PlayStation 3. "Product safety is closely linked to that of the platforms for which they were developed, and this means that upgrades the game simply can not have the same effect as the system updates." Beyond this, however, it seems that IW is doing its utmost to ensure that the players "honest" might run into fewer problems.
