New details on the new handheld console in San Francisco? The platform research manager at SCEA, David Coombes, will hold a conference called "Next Generation Portable Platform during GDC 2011. It will be the first public event dedicated to the new Sony console since the announcement, which took place last month.
The description of the conference: "In this presentation, we will introduce a new portable console. Parlerermo the wide range of options for input and connectivity which will be equipped with the device, and how these features can create exciting new possibilities for game designer. Coombes David works for Sony Computer Entertainment in 1995.
He started as a developer support engineer in London, and after a period in which he dealt with first party development, he returned to Foster City to work on PlayStation 2. Since then he has contributed the launch of the PSP and PS3 platforms. At the time is divided between the production of training materials and research for future technologies.
