David Jaffe attacks the art games

The author of God of War is unleashed on his blog, David Jaffe, the developer who counts among his works Series Twisted Metal and God of War and famous for attacking an editor guilty of having a negatively reviewed his game, came out with strength from his blog against the so-called Art Games, according to him, only the lapping surface of the expressive potential of video games.

Jaffe says that: "Just because there is the blowing of the wind, a minimal soundtrack, the wide open spaces to explore and a very slow pace of the game, does not mean that the game you're playing is art (it looks like the perfect description Flower or imminent Journey, both of thatgamecompany).

" It continues by stating that it is only superficial elements and do not represent the true growth of the videogame medium. It seems that David is tired of seeing good players and trade journalists incense these games and that he thinks the real art should not commend itself continuously, it should be able to express themselves without the need to continually reaffirm its nature.
