3DS back on top in Japan

The 3DS is back at the top of the charts a few weeks after Japan's hardware domain of PSP. According to the latest data from Media Create (via NeoGAF), with 28,252 units the Nintendo surpassed Sony's rival, stuck at 24,053 units sold. Overall, 3DS has sold 897,095 copies in Japan. PlayStation 3 is ranked third with 22,265 units, followed by DS (14,956), Wii (8122) Xbox 360 (1898) and PlayStation 2 (1261).

From a software perspective, the first location for the PSP game by Namco, Dai-2-Ji Super Robot Wars Z: Haka-hen, with 307,019 copies.
