5 rune stones from the different effects the official website for Diablo III has been updated with a page dedicated to Runestones, the magic rune stones that add various effects to the skills of the fighters in the game. This is a new customization system introduced by Blizzard for the third installment of the famous action-RPG that greatly expands the possibilities of these skills and spells.
There are five types of rune stones: crimson, indigo, obsidian, golden and Alabaster, each of which features special powers. Each of them adds a special effect to an ability, which changes depending on the skill itself is applied, for example, crimson Alabaster adds increased damage while the effect of "stun", but it also depends on the type of ability, so if applied by crimson Acid Cloud increases the damage, added to Whirlwind increases the area of effect.
All this results in a change not only the effects on enemies, but also the appearance of magic itself. If it is estimated that there are currently 100 skill with five variables is applied to reach 500 different skills, but every Runestone can have different power levels, thus to the possible combinations increases exponentially.
