It's official: Stainless Games has acquired the license from Square Enix The release of Carmageddon (1997), which licenses more than GTA should never confess, he brought a lot of controversy. Pedestrians leaving the possibility of investing in land in a sea of blood just did not like at all and, after several complaints, the series was left to die, despite the success.

In recent days, there were rumors the will of Stainless games to regain his license from Square Enix to revive the brand with Carmageddon: Reincarnation. Today came the official confirmation from the company: Carmageddon lives and we will see him back on our screens in 2012, in a downloadable game.

For the uninitiated, Stainless has achieved the first and second episode of the series on PC, to have it taken off his hands. The game is still in the early stages of development and will be released as a downloadable title in 2012. For now, were not shown on reference platforms and Stainless are still looking for a partner to bring the full production.
