Neoludica - Video games landing at the Biennial

The art of video games arrives in Venice As previously announced (LINK) the 54th International Art Exhibition in Venice will dedicate one of the events designed to play video games as an art form, Neoludica. AESVI Today we announced the terms and sponsors of the event. We read the official press release: Venice, June 1, 2011 - starts today and will conclude at the end of November the 54th Venice Biennale for the first time opens its doors to a side event dedicated to game art: Neoludica.

Art is a game from 2011 to 1966. This is the name assigned to the project conceived and produced by Musea Game Art Gallery by Ludo E-Lab and Factory Art in AESVI is a partner along with seven big players in the sector including: Activision Publishing, Blizzard Entertainment, Microsoft, Nintendo, Sony Computer Italy Entertainment, The Walt Disney Company and Warner Bros.

Interactive Entertainment. In an exhibition of art done in video games, analog and digital, photography and video, and celebratory retrospective trials of international artists, the exhibition space is in fact Archetypes and landscape that provides an opportunity to detect through art work and video sources inspired by the game design of 15 successful video games that are designed for the entertainment of one with a broader public, the so-called hardcore gamers to more casual.
