After the announcement in July of Atlus USA on closing the server Demon's Souls for the month of March 2011, the U.S. manufacturer said the voice of his PR Manager Aram Jabbari that the server will run until October 6, 2011, after which it is expected permanent shutdown. Jabbari added that Atlus USA players will be constantly informed about any developments regarding the multiplayer Demon's Souls, but unless blatant denials take place on 6 October should be fully respected.
In any case, the future closure does not depend so much on modest sales of the game (which on this side has resulted in more rather than good), as the arrival of a sequel that require the same infrastructure to support the multiplayer component.
