According to reports from Famitsu (via Andriasang), Atlus has revealed that the game in the series for Nintendo 3DS Devil Summoner is actually an updated version of Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor, title ever released in Europe in 2009. Devil Survivor is a role playing game set in a modern Tokyo invaded by demons.
The city center has been sealed and the hero must try to survive fighting the demons in the outer perimeter of the metropolis. In the original version you could play for seven days, after which the adventure ended. The version for 3DS, Devil Survivor Over Clock, add another day of play.
Present edition for the handheld Nintendo daemons unpublished, new skills and maps. Devil Survivor Over Clock will be released in Japan in 2011.
