Torchlight: best on 360 and PC?

Excellent Action-RPG Torchlight prepares to debut on Xbox Live Arcade, which should take place between February and March. After yesterday's announcement at CES, the developers of Runic wanted to clarify some details of the console version of the game. The control system, for example, has been changed to better adapt to the pad.

No more checks "at Diablo," but something more direct, as explained on the official forum (thanks VG247). Even the animations were partly revised and improved and made more immediate by the distance fighting through an automated targeting system. The system will dodge and quicker to better adjust to the pace of the game.

Compared to the PC version will be removed the possibility of using a second set of weapons. The development team has taken this decision to the inability to effectively enter this "feature" in the inventory management system. The consequence of these and other changes to the game was a rewrite of the interface.

Will no longer be present, for example, slots for items that can be carried in limited quantities depending on the type. As for skills, you can "map" of up to four, plus many additional on the d-pad. According Ruins, this version of Torchlight is in many ways more immediate than that to play PC.

At 360, in addition, new samples are added to audio (such as the beating of the heart when you find yourself with little energy) and special effects never seen before. Runic wanted to use the experience gained through the development of Torchlight II also to improve the loading time of the secondary characters and animations.

The icing on the cake will be added new armor sets, one for character, new missions and some other random surprise that the team would prefer us to discover for themselves. Asked about the possibility of seeing Torchlight even on PS3, Runic has declined to comment for now
