The PlayStation 3 version of Super Street Fighter IV, if you play against an opponent who has downloaded the alternate costumes can not see them, whereas on Xbox 360 this is possible. According to Capcom the problem is that Sony, unlike Microsoft, does not cover costs associated with the transmission of additional data (to be said though that the online game on the Xbox 360 is paid, on PlayStation 3 is free), as reported on the Capcom forums.
"When you add new data to an existing product, the first-party must bear substantial costs. On XBL these costs are covered by Microsoft and therefore the data are distributed to all. If you have not purchased the alternate costumes so you can see them anyway because the data is sent to you.
" "For Sony instead these costs are not covered. In fact, the general discourse is more complex, can vary from region to region and the distribution can be free for certain periods, but in this particular case, Sony would cover the additional costs to Capcom.
