Authors of Buzz! praise Kinect

Relentless Software, developers of Buzz, is no longer tied to the PlayStation console, and in particular there is a platform on which the studio apparently wants to develop: Kinect. "Kinect is fantastic, it's the right technology at the moment," said a Videogame Source co-founder Andrew Eades of Relentless.

"He brought new life to our industry. It would be foolish not to consider the potential of Kinect. The user of the device is identical to that which we addressed in the past." "Removing the controller is great. People try it because you do not feel alienated by these weird controller, the DualShock pad or the Xbox 360." For this reason Relentless had designed the specific controller for games since the PlayStation 2 Buzz.

Despite the praise the device for the Xbox 360, Eades did not reveal the specific projects of the company, nor has it confirmed that it had initiated talks with Microsoft to create a game for Kinect. Given that Buzz! IP is one of Sony, Relentless might try to carry on Blue Murder Files Kinect Toad? "Yes, it is theoretically possible, would be perfect," said Eades.

Some time ago, Microsoft has talked about Kinect 8 million sold in two months to November, Move had reached 4 million copies. The number of units sold could be a problem for the motion controller from Sony, according to Eades: "The problem of Move are the numbers: they must sell a certain number to make the platform attractive to developers." "Kinect took hold immediately, and my discussions with my publisher confirmed it.

We do not know if Move is big enough for us. I hope so, because I want to publish on multiple platforms to reach a greater number of users." And Wii? "We are also looking into this platform. For us it is a bit 'more difficult because, well, we arrived late to the party. There are many well-made games that already meet the needs of users to which we turn.

For us now is difficult to become competitive in that context. " Relentless Software has already made the PC version of Blue Murder Files Toad, and announced its first iPhone game, Quiz Climber.
