Most obvious during a video conference held last week Gabe Newell has spoken of the best games of all time and has not made scruple to indicate Portal 2 as the best title ever weblog Valve. But the guru has also ventured outside the confines of his own company, mentioning what he considers the best title ever.
Well, Gabe Newell Video Game Award goes without too many surprises, "Mario 64". Of course it is easy to understand why since Super Mario 64 is perhaps one of the titles that have actually opened the door to the real potential of the 3 dimensions as well as being one of the few to boast platform 3D mechanical millimeter and finished almost as much as those of a two-dimensional platform.
The parallel with Portal, despite the enormous differences between the two titles, is all too evident.
