David O. Russell, director of the Uncharted movie, wanted to reassure fans of the franchise for Naughty Dog claiming that his film will live up to the quality of IP. Russell replied to the accusations of some fans of the franchise in an interview with SlashFilm. com. "I respect the spirit and content of the game, but my job as director is to do what I consider it necessary to get a good film.
People have to trust, not many quality movies based on games." Russell also stated that he met Amy Hennig at Naughty Dog and found it a type of "interesting". "Making a game in a film is quite challenging because they are two totally different experiences. When you play is not so important the emotional aspect.
I want to create a great film, an experience that people will want to repeat several times ". Yet to announce the launch date of the film.
