Battlefield 3, new details arrive

The magazine Game Informer takes stock of the situation Let's start from the data we already know: Battlefield 3 will arrive on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this fall. The multiplayer mode supports 64 players for the PC version and 24 for the console versions. The graphics engine used by DICE for the third episode of the series will be the Frostbite 2.0.

From the pages of the latest issue of Game Informer, but there's other factual information. First, the game will feature a cooperative mode, while the plot is completely new, detached from the events of Bad Company 2. The reference version for DICE seems to be the PC, and this is the platform before the rest will enjoy additional downloadable content.

Apparently, the draft Battlefield 3 was already in the pipeline for a couple of years, but developers were waiting for an engine powerful enough to enable him to put it into practice, and the Frostbite 2.0 meets these requirements. The PC version of the game will not include tools for model output precisely because of the increased complexity of the graphics engine used.

In Battlefield 3 there will be four classrooms, a theater and a Killcam mode (the "view of death" so familiar to fans of COD) may be disabled. E 'was confirmed that the location in the game will be Tehran, Paris, New York and an area of Iraqi Kurdistan. The characters will be changed in appearance and there will be a greater amount of unlockables than Bad Company 2.

Like Bach thinks Patrick, producer of the game, the "excessive" customization? "I think it all depends on how you see things," he said. "Nobody wants characters completely different from others, it is a contest between two teams. How would you customize a uniform? Put some character two bunny ears could be fun for some, but if there is haunting the scenario without knowing to what you're shooting, then maybe it may seem less 'serious' than it actually is.

" "We will work more on the front of personalization, making sure that players can make your character unique from both a visual standpoint and from that equipment. We did a good job in that direction with Bad Company 2, for that matter. It will be possible for everyone to find their own way of life experience, "said Bach.

More information spread: The lighting system of Battlefield 3 will be much more complex than that of Bad Company 2. The distruggibilitĂ  scenarios will be made more realistic. The animations of the characters will be enhanced with software used by EA Sports, and the soldiers led AI in multiplayer mode will boast a larger number of movements.

DICE has captured first-sound effects for the game at different distances for greater realism. The team who worked on the development of Battlefield 3 is almost twice as large than that oversaw the creation of Battlefield: Bad Company 2. DICE want the single player campaign is characterized by alternating lively and situations of relative quiet.

Given the presence of many colorful terms, we will expect the classification "Mature" by the ESRB. Source: VG247
