Obsidian says bugs New Vegas

Obsidian Entertainment has explained why many of the technical problems of role-playing game for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Fallout: New Vegas. The title published by Bethesda Softworks has been developed using the Gamebryo engine, the same engine behind The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Fallout 3.

According to the developer of the New Vegas, the problems stem from the fact that the Gamebyro is not a technology created by Obsidian, while Dungeon Siege III (Square Enix the publisher) will be the first to Obisidian using a proprietary engine, Onyx. "Stability and absence of bugs are the top priorities of the project, we talk all the time," said project director at the Videogame Source Rich Taylor.

"Compared to Fallout, which gives us the advantage the new engine is critical. If we have a problem, do a few steps outside my office and talk with those who wrote the code. Speaking by phone or e-mail of these problems is much more complicated. Now we can identify problems and resolve them quickly, and when you work with an engine made by others you never know what to depend on the bugs.

" "Without a doubt, our project is very important to have with us the engineers who designed the technology." A few months after the publication of the New Vegas, developers have already had to run several patches for various versions of the RPG. "Nobody likes the technical problems. We are players too, and we do not love to find bugs.

We understand that. For this I give great importance to these kinds of problems for our new project. "
