They keep chasing rumors about (alleged) new home console that Nintendo is preparing to announce during E3 2011. The latter is the medium used by the elusive Wii 2, which would (hear hear) the Blu-ray. The rumor started from the site Blu-ray. com and confirms previous rumors that spoke of a new HD console.
Sony technology inside a Nintendo machine? The idea is intriguing and the response to mind the old alliances between the two giants. Obviously the inclusion of a Blu-ray does not necessarily mean that the console can also display movies in this format. The Wii uses standard DVDs but you can not see the film, although some developers have found that in the past would have the potential to do so.
It also seems that the new console, whose release has been shown for late 2012, will be backward compatible.
