Wii 2 in 2012: too late?

Some analysts have commented on the rumors that Nintendo may announce the Wii 2 at E3. According to analyst Michael Pachter the launch of Wii 2 in 2012 would be untimely: "They should launch the console before and Move Kinect; for each of the two peripheral units sold, Nintendo has lost a customer." "That said, it is never too late, because they could convince the current Wii owners to switch to new hardware, and at the same time could reach consumers who do not let themselves be conquered by Move and Kinect.

"Wii 2 will probably announce at E3. Wait until the next E3 will be too late." Along the same lines of M2 Research analyst Billy Pidgeon: "Nintendo has to come first to the next-gen Wii because the market is now saturated and the graphics are below the current generation of platforms. I expect to see the new console to Later in 2012, it is likely that the announcement comes at E3 2011.

" "Wii 2 will be backwards compatible because it is likely that Nintendo will continue to focus on software for the Wii until publication of the new console. It should also be strengthened and a motion control camera, and I believe can bring innovations to push for new standards in the medium" .

According to Jesse Divnich of EEDAR the console would debut in 2012: "Unfortunately I can not speculate on the specifics of Wii 2. I have absolutely no information, the risk of making mistakes. But I can say this: Nintendo has never followed the footsteps of others, and the players expect that the company maintains its originality Japan, expect a unique experience.

"" In any case, Nintendo announced the Wii at E3 2005, one year and a half before the launch of the console. So the announcement at the E3 Wii 2 seems very likely. "
