How did Call of the Dead?

A tribute to Romero Joystiq interviewed lead creative Jimmy Zielinski, Treyarch for information about the background of Call of the Dead, the detail level to trash-horror setting included in the new expansion pack "Escalation" Call of Duty: Black Ops . Starting from the maps with Nazi zombies World at War, the preference of the public for the undead had seemed obvious to developers, which was confirmed by special map released for the weekend of President's Day, which contained just a special mode of zombie .

From there the idea to structure a better experience and to create a real story, with colorful characters, which include the fight against the zombies. Treyarch wanted to aim high and created a real tribute to the creator of the whole horror genre in question, or George Romero, himself included in the cast of Call of the Dead.

Even the other characters would be of the familiar faces and charismatic, and has facilitated the work that all those contacted, or Michael Rooker, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Robert Englund, Danny Trejo (as well as Romero) knew well the Call of Duty, more or less. It 'was possible to put together a draft high level, albeit limited to a single mission in an expansion.
