Announced the multiplayer demo of Crysis 2

Electronic Arts and Crytek today announced Crysis Multiplayer demo 2. As of January 25 this will be available exclusively on Xbox 360 and will allow gamers to experience the gameplay of the title on Crytek multiplayer version. Only in 2010, Crysis 2 has received over 12 awards from critics worldwide in recognition of its multiplayer gameplay.

The multi-player mode for Crysis 2 thrusts gamers into a Manhattan devastated by conflict where two teams fight without quarter, and where each has its Nanot of the extraordinary powers that allow it to take advantage of exceptional qualities of speed and stealth to establish dominance over rivals.

The maps will lead players through a New York City was rebuilt from the studies of Crytek and challenges them to give their best with vertical gameplay that will make the strategy work, attack and defend from any direction, even from above and below. "Crysis 2 offers a new approach to multi-player mode, a fresh, original approach can position the title as an exemplar in the first-person shooter genre," said Cevat Yerli, CEO of Crytek.

"The Nanot will give gamers the thrill of omnipotence that have not yet experienced in any other FPS game and adventure set in the city of New York will offer an experience where the options are endless to be discovered." The multiplayer demo of Crysis 2 will be set in the map called "Skyline" and propose two modes of play: the "Team Instant Action" and "Crash Site".

Team Instant Action "contrasts two teams with the goal of reaching the largest number of killings and consequently achieve higher positions in the standings. In "Crash Site" gamers will compete for the control of stations on alien territory, winning points with the defense of those captured and keeping the enemies from a distance.

Developed by Crytek UK, the division of studies devoted to the Crytek multiplayer, multi player mode Crysis 2 will include 6 different game modes and 12 maps distributed in the most beautiful and recognizable location in New York City. During the campaign players can win up to 50 multiplayer ranks and a variety of different upgrades for their weapons and their Nanot.
