Gamers reckless driving

It seems that the traffic does not have a very important issue for gamers. According to the results of a survey conducted by Continental Tires (via Jalopnik) on a sample of 2,000 motorists aged between 17 and 39 years, players not observe the rules of the road when they are driving their own car. According to the survey, 22% of gamers were stopped by police in the past 12 months, while the percentage drops to 13% among non-players.

31% of drivers admit they have switched virtual reality with the red (14% among non-players), while 30% had to do with insurance because of an accident (15% among non-players). "It seems that while developing skills and confidence with the car, players are not able to balance these elements with a well thought out risk assessment," says Continental's Tim Bailey.

"I'm not surprised that players in the real world tend to take the same decisions that define their behavior in the virtual world," said Peter Rodger Institute of Advanced Motorists. "The problem is that when we drive the consequences of our actions are real and the mistakes you pay dearly."
