As reported by several users PlayStation 3, the latest patch for the Sony console prevents you from using different hard disk than the original console. The firmware 3:56, online since last week, has been defined by Sony's Eric Lempel a "patch for the security of the system" and according to many it is a first response to Jailbreak PS3.
However, it seems that the patch has been breached by hackers a few days from the exit, while a number of PlayStation 3 owners who wanted to simply replace the hard disk have been unable to do this. A number of reports received in the last few hours converge on an error code, 8002f225, which appears when you replace the original hard disk.
Apparently the problems occur only on the PlayStation 3 models with 16MB of flash memory as the Slim.
