For Sony, the PS3 is not just a gaming machine

But a true multimedia station for the head of Sony Entertainment Network, Shawn Layden, the PS3 is not just a gaming machine and should not be described as such, but rather an "entertainment media hub", or as a multimedia platform with the where you can watch movies, you can buy and listen to music and you can use video games.

Speaking to the journalist, Layden was taken from an irrepressible yearning and dug up her past work, recounting how she watched him grow the PlayStation, looking to become a hub for entertainment, one that began in 1996 as a rectangular gray by Lucette with the toaster, in which the only thing were to throw the disc to play.

In general, we would say that the multimedia capabilities of PS3 there were noticed on their own, but it's always nice to feel repeat the obvious to someone knowledgeable and paid for it. Source: Eurogamer. net
