A game by Epic tech demo?

It is possible that the Samaritan Unreal Engine 3 by Epic Games tech demo shown at the Game Developers Conference to become a game, said the vice president of Epic Games Mark Rein to 1UP. "I'm not saying it is not possible, but at the same time, if we had not made the tech demo at the time then we would not have been able to develop Gears of War," said Rein.

"Building a technology that we can concentrate on other aspects. For this I do not deny the possibility of such a scenario but at the moment we have nothing planned." "If you remember years ago we made a tech demo for the high end version of Unreal Engine 2. In the end those were included as free extra content in Unreal Tournament, but did not complete a game." Rein admits that Epic has already shown the tech demo Samaritan several first-party not specified.

"I mean, sooner or later will build a new hardware, so it goes. For them it is an advantage to know the technologies that developers use." Rein says that thanks to the advice of Epic at the time of the development of Gears of War, Microsoft impressed the ideal direction to the design of the Xbox 360, and believes that consumers, seeing the potential of the tech demo Samaritan, may be prepared to spend "300 or $ 400 for a new console.
