Half of British Wii owners do not turn on the console by six months

The study conducted by the site MyVoucherCodes reveals an unpleasant reality, new research reveals that half of British Wii owners do not turn on the console for six months or more. To conduct the survey was the site MyVoucherCodes, which polled 1,672 people aged eighteen years and over. 64% of respondents confirmed that they have a Wii, but as much as 48% of these admitted that he never used the console in the last six months.

The reasons given for this situation are the lack of time 41%, 29% depletion of novelty. 22% went to Kinect or Move. 23% of Wii owners said they did not use the console last month, 12% had not done the last week. Among those who used their Wii over the last month, 39% said it was just to play Wii Fit.

According to the chairman of MyVoucherCodes, Mark Pearson, the Wii has been a big news when it was launched, but the output of new systems or as Kinect Move has definitely cooled tempers. Source: GamerZines
